With an annual turnover of €2.3 billion, Glanbia is a rapidly expanding global nutrition giant which employs 6,900 people in 34 countries. Headquartered in Kilkenny, Ireland, the company was looking for an inspection provider that would deliver the best quality engineering inspection service across their entire portfolio in Ireland and the UK.
The challenge
Glanbia’s 85 locations in Ireland and the UK range from small agri-stores to innovation centres to the largest most sophisticated dairy production facilities.
For many of these locations, a rigidly timed inspection schedule to ensure minimum disruption in line with the seasonal productivity cycle was absolutely key. Alongside this, the Irish Engineering Services team completed their own internal training to ensure they were able to meet the needs of the customer at all times. This included a session on legislation applicable to both lifting equipment and pressure vessels, a pressure technical session concerning the reverse engineering of ammonia refrigeration systems and, of course, a training session on our eReport web portal system which allows users to manage the inspection service requirements.
Our solution
With a focus on safety and managing risk, it quickly became clear that Irish Engineering Services is a great fit for the Ganbia business. A Key Account Manager was assigned to the high-profile contract and continues to work closely with the customer to ensure an industry leading service is provided at all times.
